Good interview. I particularly like Chen’s idea of the adult entertainment “color wheel” of various combinations of intellectual, social, and emotional interactions.
I also totally agree with him about how playing online games limits you to a very narrow subset of human communication, and that it would be good to see a wider range, but as he mentions you can get that wider range by playing card or board games in person. I think you can even get that wider range by playing multiplayer video games in person. I know that for me personally playing five player Dungeon Explorer on Wii with friends has been one of my favorite recent gaming experiences.
